Pasta La Vista Baby!

A New Jersey man was charged with disorderly conduct after insisting on wearing a spaghetti strainer on his head in his new driver’s license photo – for religious reasons.

Aaron Williams walked into the MVC facility last week with the strainer on his dome, and was immediately told that head coverings were only allowed for spiritual reasons – to which he replied that he was a “Pastafarian,” also known as the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Williams said he is serious about the movement, which opposes the teaching of creationism, among other things.

While Williams ultimately relented, his fellow Pastafarians have had success in the past. In Austria, Niko Alm won the right to wear a pasta strainer on his head in his driver’s license photo after passing a mental-health check. (New Jersey.com)
