1. What were your musical influences? Growing up, just about everything Eagle 94.3 plays! My parents listened to the Eagles, Jim Croce, The Rolling Stones, Bob Seger, all the greats. Some of my favorite memories are of riding down the road with my Dad, windows down, singing along with the 8-track. We did a mean "Take it to the Limit".
2. Do you have a family? Yes I do. I'm married to Michael, and have two kids, Destini and Winter. My daughter is a pre-teen and my son is seven years younger than her, so life at my house is very....loud.
3. What are you most proud of? Without a doubt my kids! They bring me infinite laughter, joy, and gray hairs, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Life is a lot more fun through the eyes of children.
4. What do you do in your spare time? Spare time....what is that? I spend a lot of time gardening, playing in the dirt and growing pretty flowers. I love hiking, cooking, and I'm active in community theatre. If, after all that, I still have some time, I am a voracious reader.
5. What are some of your musical faves? Pink Floyd is my favorite band. I am such a fan that I own "Dark Side of the Moon" on a 24 carat gold CD, in addition to my complete library of their music. Seeing them on their last tour was more than attending a concert, it was an experience. However, my tastes are diverse. For instance, in my CD player right now is Patsy Cline, Pink Floyd (obviously), Tool, and Toto.
6. Something interesting or odd most people don't know about you? I'm scared of the dark. Really, I am, I sleep with a night light on. My kids gave it to me after they outgrew it.
7. Favorite movies? Any cheesy '80's flick, most particularly "The Breakfast Club" (GREAT soundtrack), and "Some Kind of Wonderful".
8. What's the best thing about being on Eagle 94.3? Why, working with the legendary JT Daniels. Oh yeah, and Mark Allen too. He'll whine if I don't mention him.
